• Step 3: Put the frog in a plastic bag and release the frog outside. It is better if you can put the frog at least a mile away. If you release it nearby, chances are the frog can come back later.

Use Citric Acid Solution

If it feels too gross to touch the frog, even with the gloves on, this technique may be easier for you. Follow the steps below.

• Step 1: Make a citric acid solution that is lethal for frogs. Take 1 liter of water in a spray bottle and add 150g of dry citric acid to the bottle. Shake the bottle well to mix them well.
• Step 2: Spray the citric acid solution onto the frog. You should target the frog directly.
• Step 3: The citric acid solution will kill the frog right away. Once the frog is dead, you can try flushing it down as it won’t be able to swim back.

I suggest using this when there is no other way available. Chemical repellents may take some time to kill the frogs, so it will be an inhumane way. Still, you can use frog-repellent sprays to kill the frog and flush it down.

• Netting the Vent Pipe: You should use netted covers on the vent stack so that frogs or other animals can’t enter the pipe. But don’t use clothes or anything like that. You will get vent pipe covers in plumbing stores.
• Removing Nearby Tree Branches: If there are tree branches too close to the vent pipe, you should trim those branches. It will prevent frogs from jumping onto the vent pipe, even if there is no cover or the cover is broken.
• Keep Your Backyard Clean: Frogs roam around areas that are moist and filled with dirt, debris, leaves, etc. So, you should keep the backyard clean to create an environment not suitable for frogs.
